UPSC Notification 2020 has been released by Union Public Service Commission on February 12, 2020. The candidates can check the UPSC notification pdf(official) as released on upsc.gov.in here. UPSC has notified 796 vacancies in the official UPSC notification 2020. UPSC Notification 2020 is the first official information regarding the Civil Service (IAS) exam 2020. UPSC releases the Civil Services (IAS) Notification and starts the IAS exam process. No changes has been done in the IAS Eligibility, the number of attempts, CSAT, UPSC IAS exam pattern, IAS syllabus and optional subjects.
The UPSC has notified 796 vacancies in the UPSC notification 2020. Each year, the number of vacancies is approximately 800 to 1000. But in recent years, the number of vacancies is declining in the official UPSC notification. UPSC vacancies are the reflection of the requirement in various Civil Services and the three All India Services i.e IAS, IPS and IFoS.

Age Limit: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st August, 2020, i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1988 and not later than 1st August, 1999.
Age relaxation is applicable to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD Candidates as per rules.
Minimum Educational Qualifications: The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Government strives to have a workforce which reflects gender balance and women candidates are encouraged to apply. educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.
NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS: Every candidate appearing at the Examination, who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted six attempts at the examination.
Provided that this restriction on the number of attempts will not apply in the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates who are otherwise eligible.
Provided further that the number of attempts permissible to candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are otherwise eligible, shall be nine.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS: Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Indian Forest Service Examination, 2020 as per regulations given in Appendix-III of the rules for the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2020 published in Gazette of India dated 12th February, 2020.
Selection Process: The Indian Forest Service Examination will consist of two successive stages:
(i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; and (ii) Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service.
The Civil Services Examination will consist of two successive stages (vide Appendix I Section-I)
(i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination; and
(ii) Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts noted above
How to Apply: Candidates are required to apply online using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above mentioned website. The applicants are advised to submit only single application; however, if due to any unavoidable situation, if he/she submits another/multiple applications, then he/she must ensure that application with the higher RID is complete in all respects like applicants’ details, examination centre, photograph, signature, photo ID, fee etc.
